Scotland’s North East Trunk Roads Network.

Amey delivers engineering design and operational delivery services for Scotland’s North East Trunk Roads Network on behalf of Transport Scotland.

It is our responsibility to maintain the trunk road infrastructure to support the economic growth and development of the area.

The North East network covers 593km of trunk road, including 485 bridges and structures, including Friarton Bridge, carrying the M90 over the River Tay.

These services include the design and delivery of major road and bridge maintenance work, as well as inspections to ensure the routes remain safe and well-maintained.

We also provide winter maintenance, which includes carrying out salting and snow clearing during the colder months, as well as gully cleaning and the repair of motorway lighting and traffic signals.

Our incident response teams are always on hand as the first point of contact for our customers, who may run into problems while travelling on the network. The teams look after our customers’ safety and get people moving again as quickly as possible.

The North East trunk road network covers some of Scotland's major cities including Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen, across nine different Scottish north east regions.
