£1 MILLION ROAD SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS ON M90 NEAR KELTY BEGIN MONDAY 27^th FEBRUARY

Amey is undertaking a £1 million project improving road safety on the M90 near Kelty through Fife and Perth and Kinross between Monday 27^th February and Thursday 13^th April.

The project will see improvements made to 2.7km of the barrier restraint systems on the central reserve between Junctions 4 and 5 on the M90 north of Kelty.

The scheme, which Amey is completing on behalf of Transport Scotland, will benefit around 33000 vehicles who use this route each day.

The work to upgrade the barrier restraint system will be undertaken using a closure of both lanes of the northbound carriageway, with the hard shoulder in operation for northbound traffic, between 7.30pm-6.30am each night.

Travelling southbound there will be a lane closure of the outside lane on the southbound carriageway between 7.30pm-6.30am each night.

Traffic management will be lifted each morning at 6.30am before being put back in place each night.
